The Digital Boiler

Traditional data centers rely on massive air conditioning systems that waste enormous amounts of energy cooling empty space. The NSV takes a fundamentally different approach — servers are fully submerged in non-conductive dielectric fluid that absorbs heat directly from every component.

Because the fluid is electrically inert, it contacts every chip, board, and module without risk. This direct-contact approach transfers heat 1,200 times more efficiently than air, enabling fully fanless, silent operation — ideal for underground installation beneath a residential community. The vault is impervious to external temperature swings, humidity, dust, and extreme weather events.

In multi-family buildings, it is pumped vertically through existing hot water risers to serve every floor, displacing the gas boiler plant entirely.

How Immersion Cooling Actually Works

No fans. No raised floors. No water near the silicon. The GPUs are submerged directly in a non-flammable, non-conductive engineered fluid that carries heat away the instant it's generated.

Step 01

Direct Contact

Compute hardware sits fully submerged in dielectric fluid. Heat transfers off the silicon ~1,400× more efficiently than air, eliminating thermal hotspots and the fan-driven noise floor of a traditional data center.

Step 02

Two-Phase Boiling

At GPU operating temperature, the fluid boils at low pressure into vapor. The phase change absorbs enormous amounts of heat with minimal pumping energy — the same physics as a refrigerator, run in reverse for cooling.

Step 03

Condense & Recover

Vapor condenses against a heat exchanger that hands the recovered thermal energy to the building's hydronic loop. The fluid drips back into the bath. The loop is closed, sealed, and runs for years between sampling intervals.

The 4-Stage Thermal Cascade

Waste heat doesn't get vented. It gets re-used four times on its way down the temperature curve — every BTU paying for amenities the residents would otherwise be billed for.

Domestic Hot Water & Pool/Spa

The hottest fluid feeds domestic hot water for the building and heats the community pool and spa year-round — eliminating gas-fired water heating across the entire property.

Stage 03 · Warm

Hydronic Snow Melt

Lower-temperature fluid circulates through hydronic loops embedded in walkways, ramps, driveways, and entry corridors — melting snow on contact with no salt, no shoveling, and no slip-and-fall liability.

Stage 04 · Residual

Absorption Chiller

Residual warmth feeds an absorption chiller, which uses heat (not electricity) to produce summer cooling for amenity spaces. The vault becomes a year-round HVAC asset, not just a winter heat source.
